In less than a month from now Kelowna will be hosting the Pushor Mitchell Apple Triathlon from August 20-22. This event also hosts the Canadian National Championships and the ITU Pan American Cup as well as a FINA Open Water Swim event.
Being one of the largest community events in Kelowna, more than 1500 national and international entries are expected. ‘We have increased the number of volunteers required from around 900 to 1200 to ensure that we continue to run an event with the highest level of safety and professionalism, says Randy Sparrow, Race Director.
The Kelowna Apple Triathlon Society (KATS) Office specifically needs volunteers to put in one or more shifts per week in the office in Bernard Avenue from August 3 until race weekend and drivers for the ‘cube’ vans.
Please contact the KATS office at 250-763-5287 or email us at volunteer@appletriathlon.com .
Your support is much needed and appreciated.
(And if the temperature is what it was last year, the bodies will be hot!)
