Urgent appeal for volunteers for the Kelowna Apple Triathlon
With expected record entries of more than 1 000 participants in the 27th Pushor Mitchell Apple Triathlon and very high-profile participation in the 2009 Canadian National Triathlon Championships hosted by the Apple Triathlon, the help of many more volunteers is urgently required. The events take place from Friday August 21 ending on Sunday, August 23.
A variety of volunteer positions are available including bike and run course marshals, set-up and take-down, transition, security, body-marking, finish line duties and assistance to disabled athletes. Volunteers will receive volunteer certification training, a complimentary volunteer t-shirt, food, refreshments, and a fun-filled post-race volunteer appreciation party with many exciting draw prizes.
