Kelowna, BC, June 15, 2009 - The Pushor Mitchell Apple Triathlon is adding a new event to this year’s race weekend to encourage more people to experience the fun of participating in triathlons . Called the Corporate Cup, the new short distance triathlon relay is aimed at companies or families who would like to challenge coworkers, other companies or family members to a fun race.
Each member of the mixed team will complete a portion of the relay. The event consists of a 500 meter swim followed by a 10km bike ride and finished with a 4km run.
The event takes place on Saturday August 22 at 7:40 am, followed by the awards ceremony. Awards are being given for the best teams in specific business sectors including: financial, retail, media, government and more.
The awards wrap up around 10 am and people can stay to catch the excitement of the other race events going on throughout the day. Companies can enter as many teams as they like. A reduced price applies for entries before Aug 10th.
